Villa Ombak
Villa Ombak is on Trawangan,
one of Lombok's island oasis, just off its rugged and verdant Northwestern
coastline. From Bali, Gili Trawangan can be reached with a magnificent
Australian built, turbine powered, catamaran leaving from Benoa/Sanur
in the morning, going along the beautiful eastern coast of Bali and
reaching the neighboring island Gili Meno after about
3 hours. From there it is only 5 minutes by speedboat and you can arrange
to be picked up (contact Hotel Vila Ombak for details). We can recommend
this journey as the ship has stabilizers so sea sickness is no issue.
Alternatively you can take a 25-minutes low cost flight to Mataram,
Lombok's capital city. Arrangements can be made with Hotel Vila Ombak
for transportation from the airport. After a scenic 30-minutes drive
that hugs the Western coastline, our outrigger or speedboat will bring
you to the island in less than 30 minutes. Or, if you want to make it
your own way, Lombok's little Bangsal harbor offers boat charters until
late in the afternoon.
